Nigeria’s Super Eagles head coach, Eric Sekou Chelle, will hold his first training session in Kigali ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Rwanda on March 21, 2025. The training camp opens on March 17, with players arriving by March 18, while Chelle and his staff will be there a day earlier.

Chelle has named a 23-man squad, including key strikers Victor Osimhen, Victor Boniface, Sadiq Umar, Paul Onuachu, and Tolu Arokodare, the top scorer in Belgium. Ahmed Musa makes a return, while Jerome Akor Adams is recovering from injury.

Nigeria currently sits 5th in Group C with 3 points from 4 matches and will host Zimbabwe in Uyo on March 24 after the Rwanda clash. The team aims to revive their qualification hopes and avenge a previous AFCON qualifier loss to Rwanda.
