Nigeria secures 50.8 billion dollars Investment Deals – Trade Minister

Nigeria has secured $50.8 billion in investment deals as of November 2024, according to the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Jumoke Oduwole. Speaking at a ministerial briefing in Abuja, she highlighted efforts to position Nigeria as a key player in AfCFTA and complete a WTO trade review.
The ministry is focused on removing investment bottlenecks through collaboration with stakeholders while implementing reforms and policy advancements. Key initiatives include an Industrial Revolution Work Group and a National Industry Tour to assess and revitalize Nigeria’s industrial sector.
Oduwole emphasized technology, job creation, and youth participation in a tech-driven economy, signaling progress in international trade and investment growth.
