Access Bank Partners NYSC to promote Entrepreneurship

Access Bank Plc, through the Accesspreneur program in partnership with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has empowered 10 NYSC corps in Kaduna with exceptional ideas with 3 million naira in grant.

The bank noted that, a total of N30 million was given out to corps members with winning entrepreneurial ideas in Abuja, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Edo, Ekiti, Ogun, Ondo, Oyo, Rivers and now in Kaduna state with the star winners receiving 1 million naira each.

The Regional Manager 1, Access Bank, Mr. Chidi Ngwenu Kaduna stated this during NYSC Access Bank Accessprenuer competition held in Kaduna.

The NYSC Kaduna State Coordinator, Hassan Mahmud Toura, lauded the initiative by Access Bank and is optimistic that the corps members will judiciously use the fund to start up their businesses.

Kaduna star-prize winner, Akorede Kalifat Ayola, an interior decorator thanked the bank for the gesture and appreciated the NYSC for such a life transforming scheme.

Some of the beneficiaries of the Accessprenuer competition who won 700 thousand naira to 50 thousand naira expressed their profound gratitude to the bank for the financial support adding that it will go a long way to helping them achieve their dreams.

Access Bank has been in a strategic partnership with NYSC since 2016. The relationship further evolved into the launch of Accessprenuer: The NYSC edition in February 2021. So far, six editions of Accessprenuer competition have been completed, impacting over 390 corps members with over 165-million-naira seed capital.
