Kaduna Capital Territory Authority (KCTA) cleans up city to commemorate the World Earth Day

The Kaduna Capital Territory Authority (KCTA) today, engaged residents in the metropolitan parts of Kaduna in her annual cleaning project tagged KADCITY CLEAN UP 2.0 to commemorate the World Earth Day with the theme: Invest in our Planet.
Speaking to Invicta FM Correspondent, David Vincent Ejeh, The Chief Resilience Officer of the Kaduna Capital Territory Authority (KCTA), Aaron John, said the environmental sanitation commenced from various points within the metropolis and would include sweeping, desilting of drainages, litter control and vegetation control.
Also speaking, the Chairman of Kaduna State Traders Association, Abdulrahman Muhammed, commended the initiative and the level of turnout of traders to clean the market area.
Some volunteers who joined the exercise lauded the efforts of the government on the clean up initiative noting that it will reduce environmental pollution and flood in the metropolis and called for more awareness to be made to residents.
This year’s celebration of the World Earth Day is focused on accelerating solutions to combat the greatest threat of climate change, manage and recycle waste and to activate everyone including the governments, citizens, and businesses owners to do their part.
