Distribution of 5.5m Insecticides Treated Net in Kaduna records 99 percent success

The distribution of free Insecticides Treated Net (ITN) in Kaduna State by Kaduna State Government in collaboration with Federal Ministry, Society for Health and other support organizations has recorded 99.9 percent success, with 5.5 million nets distributed.
The Director, Technical and Programme, Global Fund Malaria, Society for Family Health, John Ocholi stated this Tuesday while giving a breakdown report for the completion of the exercise, at Kaduna State Ministry of Health.
He spoke further on the success recorded in the exercise and lessons learned.
On her part, the Commissioner of Health, Dr Amina Mohammed Baloni who was full of commendation for good teamwork and collaboration by supporting partners, also gave direction on subsequent exercise.
Over 10,800 personnel were trained and deployed across the 23 Council Areas of the state as distributors of free net. Other supporting partners includes Catholic Relief Services and Global Fund. Wife of Kaduna State Governor, Architect Hadiza Isma el-Rufai had been appointed Kaduna State Net Ambassador at the official flag off of the distribution of the free Net.
