Kaduna State Commissioner for Human Services and Social Development on VAPP law and GEO bill, calls for active involvement by general public

Kaduna State Commissioner for Human Services and Social Development Kaduna State, Hafsat Mohammed Baba has stated the need for active involvement of not just the judicial system but the general public.

She made this known during the enhancement action learning workshop on the implementation of the Kaduna State Violence against Persons Prohibition law (VAPP) and Gender Equality Opportunity (GEO) bill workshop in the state organized by a Non-Governmental Organization, Women’s Right and Protection Alternative (WRAPA).

The State Project Coordinator for WRAPA, Bar. Bukola Ajao, extensively spoke about the essence of the workshop and to enforce the use of the law by the Judiciary.

An Honorable at the Kaduna State High Court of Justice, Justice Edward Andrew and one of the participants told newsmen more awareness must be created.

The workshop which is slated for 19th/20th July 2022 at the Bafra hotel Kaduna State, is aimed at amplifying cognizance, alertness and dialogue on the VAPP law and GEO bill had major judicial stakeholders in the state in attendance.
