Following the unfortunate attack on Ungwan Gamu, and two other villagies near Maro in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna last Sunday, the Adara Development Association(ADA) has challenged the Nigeria Air Force to conduct a thorough investigation on the incident to determine if the helicopter and the crew belong to the Nigeria Air Force.
The National President, Adara Development Association, Awemi Dio who made the call in a press statement, said the death toll as at Wednesday, was 32 while the villagers still search surrounding bushes for more corpses, adding that 7 corpses were found in varying degree of decomposition.
According to the Adara leader who alleged the attack was carried out by suspected Herdsmen, said they carried they operation with motorcycles wielding AK47 from around 12 noon and lasted until around 6:pm unchallenged by the security.
While lamenting that the Kaduna State government has abandoned the people to the mercy of terrorists, the association further called on government and other people of conscience to come to the aid of the displaced people.
The Adara President wondered that despite several reports alleging helicopters dropping weapons and other provisions to bandits in different locations within Adara Chiefdom and neighbouring communities, the Nigeria Air Force has not seen the need to speak nor clear the air on the recurring attacks.
