YPP gubernatorial candidate in Kaduna State, Emmanuel Effiong steps down

A Politician, Engineer Emmanuel Effiong who recently declared for the Governorship of Kaduna State under the Young Progressive Party, YPP, has dropped the ambition for the House of Representatives seat representing Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency.

He spoke to journalists on Wednesday after he emerged consensus candidate of the YPP at an election conducted in Kaduna on Wednesday.

Speaking further, Engineer Effiong said YPP was rooted on ground in the state and was out to challenge the status quo to liberate the people of Chikun/Kajuru from poor representation.

Ambassador Sani Yahaya emerged the Kaduna State Governorship candidate of the YPP, while flag bearers for the Senate, House of Assembly seats were also picked.
