North Korea takes over United Nations as head of a top nuclear disarmament forum.

North Korea has temporarily taken over as head of a top nuclear disarmament forum at the United Nations.
This came as North Korea was earlier this year accused of testing intercontinental ballistic missiles, which are banned by the United Nations’ Security Council.
However, North Korea assumed the presidency of the Conference on Disarmament as the position rotates between members.
A number of non-government organisations had urged countries to walk out of the room – which is a common form of diplomatic protest.
