A Non-Governmental Organization, ActionAid Nigeria in continuation of its system and structure strengthening approach against radicalization to violent extremism(SARVE3) project, has selected 6 local governments towards building community peace through youth radio listener’s session.

The Resilience Programme Coordinator, ActionAid Nigeria, Anicetus Atakpu, disclosed this during the third phase of the programme in Kaduna, on Friday.

He dwelt on strengthening the components of the project and the triggers of the violent extremism.

Mr. Atakpu said it is engaging the media in influencing people, more of such efforts would be stepped up towards community engagement of radio listenership.

On whether the project has yielded fruits, the resilience Programme Coordinator cited Kogi State as example of places where it has impacted in both changing the behaviours of youth in avoiding violence in addition to the economic empowerment in partnership with government and other donor agencies.
