Manchester United boss, Ralf Rangnick, said he is happy that his team qualified for next season’s Europa League despite their 1-0 defeat against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Rangnick, who guided Manchester United to a sixth place finish in the Premier League, will now step down as the club’s interim manager.
Manchester United did little to help themselves, losing to a goal from their former forward Wilfried Zaha while incoming boss; Erik ten Hag watched from the stands at Selhurst Park.
However, Brighton United’s 3-1 win against West Ham proved important for Manchester United as it kept the Hammers below the Red Devils in seventh place.
