In line with the ongoing renewal programme within the Kaduna metropolis and the need to upgrade and re-develop some critical infrastructures, the Kaduna State Urban and Planning Development (KASUPDA) seven-day quit notice which terminated 18th May, 2022 has seen shop occupants of the Sabon-Tasha market lose their spaces.
Invicta FM News Correspondent, Evangeline Genesis, who has been following the events, spoke with the Communication Officer, Kaduna Market Development and Management Company (KMDMC) Mr. Anthony Richard.
In his remarks, Mr. Richard disclosed measures the company is taking to see that construction begins immediately.
Traders at the market lamented on the unfair treatment the board is dishing out to them as regards the short notice by KASUPDA and urged the agency to temper justice with mercy as they are yet to recover from the shock and setback of Covid-19 pandemic.
While accusing the leadership of the market of not carrying them along as the quit notice came as a shock to them, the traders urged KASUPDA to find a better means of effective communication.
