North Korea struggling with spread of Covid-19 in unvaccinated population.

North Korea is struggling with the spread of Covid-19 in an unvaccinated population, without access to operational anti-viral drugs.

In early 2020, North Korea closed its borders to try to protect itself from the pandemic and its leadership has so far rejected outside medical support.

The nation’s ruling-party newspaper; Rodong Simnun recommended remedies including ginger or honeysuckle tea and a willow-leaf drink for those who are not seriously ill.

It also said that hot drinks might help reduce some Covid symptoms, such as a sore throat or cough, and help hydration when patients are losing more fluid than normal.
