Marcus Smart returned from injury to help his Boston Celtics side to victory over the Miami Heat, equaling the Eastern Conference finals at 1-1.

A superb all-round effort from Smart saw him contribute twenty-four points, twelve assists and nine rebounds in Boston Celtics 127-102 win in Florida.

Jayson Tatum top-scored for the Boston Celtics with twenty-seven points, while Jimmy Butler led the Miami Heat with twenty-nine points.

Smart, who did not play in game one due to a foot injury, said he was inspired having watched his teammates lose to the Miami Heat.

In the meantime, in the Western Conference finals, the Golden State Warriors lead the Dallas Mavericks 1-0 and will host the second match of the series in the early hours of Saturday.
