World Health Organisation alerts as more monkey pox cases reported in Britain.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has issued an alert that more cases of the monkey pox virus could be reported in Britain.
The WHO said in a statement that an investigation is underway by British health officials to detect the cause of the outbreak which has hit mainly London, now affecting nine people.
Three cases from the same household were initially confirmed on May 6, followed by four more cases a few days later.
According to reports, two additional cases, one in London and one in the South East of England, were also detected.
Monkey pox is a sylvatic zoonosis with incidental human infections that usually occur in forested parts of Central and West Africa. The WHO added that it is caused by the monkeypox virus which belongs to the orthopoxvirus family,
