States prepare ahead of Eid-el Fitr celebration.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Kebbi State Command, says it is working closely with all relevant stakeholders to ensure no road accident is recorded during the Eid-el Fitr period.
The Sector Commander, Yusuf Haruna, disclosed this in an interview with the Newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Saturday.
He also warned motorists against dangerous driving, over-speeding, the use of cellphones while driving, and other actions that contravene road traffic rules during the period.
He said that there would be massive deployment of both Regular and Special Marshals for the special patrol operations being organised to control traffic and check the excesses of motorists during the period.
He called on motorists to avoid anything that could lead to accidents on the highways and advised the motorists to renew their driver’s licenses and vehicle papers once they expired.

According to the statement, KAROTA deems it necessary to deploy large number of its personnel during the festive period, considering that large turnout of vehicles and other road users are recorded during the festive period.
The statement also quoted the Managing Director of the agency, Baffa Babba-Dan’agundi, as saying, “The Agency will arrest and prosecute anyone who violates traffic laws during the season.
Babba-Dan’agundi advised the general public and all road users to adhere strictly to all traffic laws before, during and after the Sallah Festive holidays to avoid unfortunate incidents that could lead to injury, loss of lives or properties.

The Commissioner of Police (CP), Delta Command, Mr. Ari Ali has ordered the massive deployment of personnel across the state to ensure a hitch-free Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
The CP gave the directive in a statement made available to newsmen in Warri through the command’s spokesman, DSP Bright Edafe.
Ali directed all DPOs to intensify raid of criminal hideouts and black spots within the command to curtail activities of criminals.
He also urged the Deputy Commissioner of Police in-charge of Operations, Area Commanders, DPOs, Tactical Operations Officers and all Heads of Departments of the command to ensure proper supervision of personnel deployed for the actualization of peace during and after the celebration.
The CP warned cultists and other criminal elements in the state to steer clear, stressing that the command was more than ever ready to deal decisively with anyone who intended to disrupt peace in the state.

The Hisbah Board in Jigawa has deployed no fewer than 1,223 of its operatives for the forthcoming Eid-el-fitr celebration in the state.
The Hisban Commander in the state, Malam Ibrahim Dahiru, who made this known to Newsmen in Dutse on Sunday, said the operatives would synergize with other security agencies in the state to provide adequate security during the festive period.
He explained that the operatives were also expected to assist in crowd and traffic control during the period.
The commander added that the personnel had been advised to act professionally in the discharge of their duties.
Dahiru, therefore, advised parents and guardians to monitor the movements of their wards during the festivity in order not to be involved in acts capable of disturbing public peace.
