Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, pays condolence visit to palace of late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III.

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on Sunday, paid a condolence visit to the palace of the late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III.
Governor Makinde was received by the Bashorun of Oyo, who doubles as the Chairman of the Council of Chiefs, High Chief Yusuf Ayoola and the eldest son of the late monarch, Prince Babatunde Adeyemi.
While speaking to newsmen, he disclosed that all the monarchs, who have died in the state, died at old age and also impacted on the people.
Report says that the death of Oba Adeyemi brings to three, the number of first class monarchs who have died in the last five months in Oyo State.
It would be recalled that the Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Jimoh Oyewumi, died on 12th December, 2021, while Olubadan Saliu Adetunji died on 2nd January, 2022.
