French far-right leader, Marine Le Pen, has praised her performance in the presidential elections, on Sunday, despite her defeat to President Emmanuel Macron.
53-year-old Le Pen also promised never to abandon France, after losing with around 42 percent of the vote to President Macron’s roughly 58 percent.
She, however, joined other challengers, who were eliminated in the first round, in calling for a new effort to prevent the president’s second term at parliamentary polls in June this year.
Both candidates had sought to rally supporters of hard-left chief Jean-Luc Melenchon to their side in the second-round run-off, after he came close to defeating both Le Pen and President Macron.
