A subsidiary of Transnational Corporation Plc., Transcorp Power Limited, says it is currently adding five hundred and ninety megawatts of electricity to the national grid.

Chairman of the Group, Tony Elumelu, disclosed this in Abuja, on Thursday, during the Group’s 2021 general meeting,

According to him, Transcorp Power increased its generating capacity from three hundred and ninety megawatts to four hundred and seventy megawatts in May 2021, which brings the company’s combined generating capacity of its two companies to five hundred and ninety megawatts.

Elumelu also said that Transcorp Power’s revenue also improved by 14 per cent, from 65.1 billion naira to 74.3 billion naira, which accounts for around 70 per cent of the total group revenue.

He, further, said that the achievement came as the company has transformed from Transnational Corporation of Nigeria PLC into Transnational Corporation Plc.
