Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, says any government that cannot secure the lives and properties of its citizenry has failed in its responsibility and has no business with governance.

Governor Wike said this on Thursday during an interface with delegates and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders, at the government house in Jalingo, Taraba state capital.

According to him, if he were President Muhammadu Buhari, he would have resigned for failing to tackle the security challenges bedeviling Nigeria.

In his remarks, Taraba State Governor Darius Ishaku, the PDP delegates to use their votes wisely in the forthcoming party primaries by voting for candidates that have capacity to deliver dividends of democracy to the people.

Governor Ishaku who also spoke on security, said instituting state police is long over-due and must be done for Nigeria to be secured.
