Nigeria’s Under 17 girls, on Sunday, defeated their Egyptian counterparts 4-0 at the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
With the win the Under 17 girls maintained a good position for the final round of the African qualification series for this year’s FIFA Under 17 Women’s World Cup.
Opeyemi Ajakaiye scored her fourth goal of the qualifiers with an angled shot that beat goalkeeper Habbiba El Taher in the 28th minute.
Omowunmi Bello headed home Nigeria’s second goal in the 39th minute, while Miracle Usani made it 3-0 for Nigeria in the 54th minute, before Bello completed the scoring in the 62nd minute.
