The Honourable Commissioner, National Population Commission (NPC), Dr. Abdulmalik Mohammed Durunguwa, has advised Christians to avoid violence and embrace peace and selflessness.
Dr. Durunguwa gave the advice in his Easter message which was made available to newsmen in Kaduna, on Sunday.
Dr. Durunguwa, who is also a gubernatorial aspirant in Kaduna on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) come 2023 elections, said that Christian must emulate Jesus Christ, who died for the sins of the world.
The Honourable Commissioner of the NPC also used the occasion of Easter to urge the Federal and State Governments to do everything within its powers to secure the release of those still in captive.
While saying that security is everyone’s problem, Dr. Durunguwa urged residents of the State to be watchful and prayerful, as prayer has the potency to end any form of crises.
