UEFA introduces 70 per cent squad cost rule as part of new financial regulations.

The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has introduced new financial regulations which will limit clubs’ spending on wages, transfers and agents’ fees to 70 percent of their revenue.
UEFA, which disclosed this on Thursday, said that the new rules will take effect in June this year and that clubs will have three years to implement them.
The Union also said that permitted losses over a three-year period have been increased from 24.98 million pounds to 49.96 million pounds.
UEFA also said that new reinforced punishments, including; points deductions, demotion to lower-ranking competitions and potential exclusion from European football completely, will be introduced as part of the new regulations.
