NDLEA seizes one thousand, three hundred and ninety-nine kilograms of drugs in Kaduna State 2022.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, seized a total of one thousand, three hundred and ninety-nine kilograms of drugs in Kaduna State in the month of March, 2022.

Commander of the NDLEA in the State, Mr. Umar Adoro, who disclosed this to newsmen, on Wednesday, in Kaduna, said that three of the houses sealed are located at Rigacikun area, while the fourth was sealed at Anguwan Maigero area of the state.

He gave the breakdown of drugs seized as 997.121 kilograms of Indian hemp, 342.329 kilograms of other psychotropic substances, 0.027 kilograms of cocaine, 0.036 kilograms of heroin and 59.382 kilograms of Tramadol.

While saying that drug peddling, trafficking and misuse had become dominant in the two areas, he said that one hundred and seventeen suspects, including two females were arrested during the raids.

He also said that the Command recovered two locally-made guns, seven cartridges, two ammunitions and one hundred thousand counterfeit dollars during the operations in the month of March.
