President Buhari congratulates NEC of APC that emerged at party’s convention in Abuja.

President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated the National Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), that emerged at the party’s just concluded convention in Abuja.
President Buhari had returned to the convention ground at the Eagle Square, on Sunday morning, along with the Vice President and the Senate President to witness and celebrate the inauguration of the elected party executives.
According to him, the unity of members that was on display repositions the party for victory in the 2023 general elections.
Meanwhile APC’s new National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, in his acceptance speech at the Eagle Square, promised that the ruling party will deliver more dividends of democracy if Nigerians vote for the party in come 2023.
The ruling party also picked Senator Iyiola Omisore as National Secretary, while other members of the National Working Committee (NWC) were also selected during the event.
Report says that the selection was majorly done by consensus as several candidates stepped down after backroom negotiations.
