NEPC Kaduna Smart Office, holds round table interactive engagement with Importers to leverage on export opportunities in Nigeria

The Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) Kaduna Smart Office, on Tuesday, held a round table interactive engagement with Importers to leverage on export opportunities in Nigeria.

The President, Kaduna State Shippers Association, Mr.  Augustine Achilike, gave an overview of the event, held at the ASAA Pyramid Hotel, Kaduna, aimed at leveraging on export opportunities through the already existing import channels.

Representing the Zonal Director of Nigeria Shippers Council, Alhaji Ahmed Yaza, presented a paper on Import procedures in Nigeria and enlightened exporters on how to harness the import channels provided to export more of Nigerian products.

Also speaking, from Nigerian Export Promotion Council, Kaduna Smart Office, Mr. Kasim Abba Ahmed, who presented the second paper on export procedure and documentation, pointed out the need to bridge the gap of market penetration with local products.

Further discussions from relevant stakeholders on export and import services where rendered by National Quarantine Service, Kaduna Chamber of Commerce Industry, Mines and Agriculture, Nigeria Shippers Council, Anglia International Service Limited, Kaduna Inland Dry Port, Federal Produce Inspection Service, Tagbank Limited, United Bank for Africa among others.
