Governor Nasir Ahmed El-Rufa’s former Campaign Director-General and Political Adviser, Ben Kure on Monday emerged the Kaduna State Chairman of the newly repositioned New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP).
Also, the governors former Commissioner of Women Affairs, Hajiya Rabi Abdulsam was picked as the State Women Leader, few days after his ally and Adviser on investment Promotion, Jimmy Lawal decamped to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State.
In his acceptance speech at the NNPP State Congress which took place at the Kaduna lnternational Trade Fair Complex, Ben Kure said the party set out to unite the people of Kaduna for inclusive governance that will be felt in all parts of the state.
Speaking further, Kure regretted that both the ruling APC and the opposition PDP have failed the state, urging the people not to give up as NNPP was out with something new.
It could be recalled that other APC big shots who have joined Jimmy Lawal and Ben Kure in the decamping spree from the APC to other parties included former Accountant General of the state, Haruna Saeed Kajuru and former DG of NEMA, Sani Sidi, who last week defected to his former party, the PDP, preparatory to contest the 2023 Governorship race.
