Over twenty killed in Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State during fresh attack.

No fewer than 20 people were killed and properties worth millions of naira destroyed, following terrorists attack in Agban – Maraban Kagoro, on Sunday night in Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The attackers were said to have invaded the community at about 8pm, shooting sporadically and setting houses ablaze, where two soldiers who came to repel the attackers were also killed.
According to an eye witness who visited the scene of the attack on Monday morning in a chat with lnvicta FM, said he counted three corpses burnt beyond recognition while the rest were either matchetted or killed by gunshots.
One of the residents, who spoke to newsmen, said the attackers came in large numbers and stationed one machine gun by the roundabout in Agban Kagoro and one around Government College Kagoro, shooting for more than two hours unhindered.
Confirming the attack to Newsmen, the Kaura Council Chairman, Mr. Siman Mathias, described the attack as barbaric and appealed for calm from the people as security had been mobilized to contain the situation.
Meanwhile, the Kaduna State Government has imposed a 24-hour curfew in Jama’a and Kaura Local Government Areas of the State.
