House of Representatives set to reconvene decision on gender bills.

In a related development, the House of Representatives has withdrawn its decision on three gender-related bills, which were earlier rejected.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, who announced the decision of the House, on Tuesday, in Abuja, after an executive session, said the bills would come up for voting in four weeks’ time.

He said that the action was to withdraw three of the decisions that were taken on that day in the next four weeks.

According to reports, the three bills to be reconsidered are: Indigene ship bill, Citizenship bill and the thirty-five per cent affirmative action on political parties’ bill.
