Confederation of African Football launches capacity-building course focusing on women teams’ performance.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has launched a three-week capacity-building online course for its Member-Associations’ senior national team head coaches and physical trainers for women football players.

Reports say the course, organised by CAF Women’s Football Development Department, will run until March 23.

CAF, in a report on its website, said the course is part of its commitment to empowering women football coaches and creating capacity.

It added that the course’s main objectives include: educating coaches and practitioners working with female players on the physical fitness demands needed in modern football.

Reports further say the course will also help to empower coaches and physical fitness trainers with the proper knowledge to train and prepare female athletes for international competitions.

She added that the focus would be on training, preparing, and developing women athletes.
