Kaduna State Govt. donates hematinic drugs to LGAs with anemia burden.

The Kaduna State Planning and Budget Commission (PBC), on Tuesday, donated 127 cartons of hematinic drugs to support Igabi and Birnin Gwari local government areas, as they are areas with high burden of anemia in children and women.
The Permanent Secretary of the PBC, Hajiya Umma Aboki, represented by the Director, Development Aid Coordination of PBC, Salisu Lawal, said that the commission had earlier supported five local government areas with burden of anemia in the state with such drugs.
The Executive Secretary of the State Primary Health Care Board (SPHCB), Dr Hamza Abubakar, represented by Deputy Director, Department of Family and Community Health Care Services, Saminu Kaya, who received the drugs, assured that the drugs would be used judiciously to improve the health standard of the local governments, which would also translate to more productivity for the betterment of the state.
A development partner and Project Manager of ANRiN, Dr Zainab Muhammad-Idris, commended the nutrition stakeholders in the state for coordinating effectively in achieving the goals and the PBC for the initiative.
