Chairman, Karu Local Government Area, Mr James Thomas, has presented the 2022 budget for the area of about 6 billion naira to the Legislative Arm of the Council.
Thomas, who tagged the 2022 budget as “Budget of Growth”, said the budget estimate is 6. 83 billion Naira
Thomas explained that the budget covered the construction of roads across urban and rural areas in the local governments, provision of water, recreational centres, electricity, the renovation of the council’s secretariat for conducive working environment.
He added that other areas captured in the budget include the construction of primary healthcare clinic, youths and women empowerment among others.
Earlier, Hon. Suleiman Mallam, Speaker, Karu Local Government council, commended the Chairman for presenting the budget and urged members of the Legislative Arm to cooperate to ensure the passage of the budget in record time after scrutiny.
