The House of Representatives has urged the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited to suspend the four companies which recently imported adulterated fuel into Nigeria.
The lawmakers also asked its committee on Petroleum Downstream to investigate the release and sale of the adulterated Premium Motor Spirit by petrol stations across the country.
The matter was raised on Thursday as a motion of urgent public significance by the Chief Whip of the House, Mohammed Monguno.
It would be recalled that the NNPC Group Managing Director, Mele Kyari, on Wednesday, listed the companies as; MRS, Emadeb/Hyde/AY Maikifi/Brittania-U Consortium, Oando, and Duke Oil as the culprits.
