The Presidency has called for the increase in awareness and access to modern contraceptive methods across Nigeria in order to address the nation’s rising population.
President Muhammadu Buhari made the call, on Thursday, at the launch of the revised National Policy on Population for Sustainable Development in the State House, Abuja.
President Buhari explained that the overall goal of the policy is to improve the quality of life and standards of living of Nigerians.
Report also said that the President inaugurated the National Council on Population Management, which he serves as the chairman.
