BASUBEB expends 5 billion naira to implement 2017/2018 intervention projects

The Bauchi State Universal Basic Education Board (BASUBEB), has spent 5 billion naira to implement the 2017/2018 UBEC/SUBEB intervention projects.

Spokesperson of the board Abdullahi Muhammad, made this known during an interview with newsmen in Bauchi on Wednesday.

Muhammad said the amount was expended on construction and renovation of schools, classrooms, provision of furniture and capacity building for teachers.

Muhammad added that between 2017 and 2019, the administration of Gov. Bala Mohammed released counterpart fund amounting to 8.5 billion naira.

Reports has it that the state government recently constructed 450 classrooms, distributed 790 magnetic boards and 18,148 pieces of furniture.
