President Muhammadu Buhari, South West Governors mourn Christopher Alao – Akala.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday, said the late former governor of Oyo State, Christopher Alao-Akala, served with dedication, making very important contributions to the development of institutions and communities.
Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, in a statement, said Buhari commiserated with the Alao-Akala family, the government and people of Oyo State over the former governor’s passing.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Southwest Governors’ Forum and Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has described the death of former Governor of Oyo State, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala as a rude shock.
Akeredolu through a statement by his Chief Press Secretary Richard Olatunde in Akure lamented that the Southwest, especially Oyo State have lost a giant and quintessential politician who was committed to friendship, progress and development of the society till the end.
According to Governor Akeredolu, late Akala served Oyo state meritoriously, having served as deputy Governor, and then, Governor of the state.
Akeredolu also described the death of Alao-Akala, as a personal loss after recalling his relationship with Akala, as a former Governor and later APC chieftain, said he was a dependable friend.
