The People’s Democratic Party has urged Nigerians to use the New Year to rekindle the virtues of love, unity, social justice aswell as the quest for good governance in the country.
National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Debo Ologunagba, disclosed this on Friday in a statement titled ‘2022: PDP Rejoices with Nigerians on New Year’.
The PDP said the Buhari Presidency and the APC should use the New Year to apologise for their atrocities by showing empathy to the families of the victims of mass killings under their watch and prepare to exit the political scene in 2023.
It urged the APC-led government to use the New year to review its anti-people policies, end its corruption and take urgent steps towards economic recovery by adopting a more transparent and inclusive approach to governance; investing more on productive sectors and being open to suggestions and constructive criticisms from Nigerians.
The Party also described the list of President Muhammadu Buhari’s achievements in 2021 as a ‘joke of the year’ noting that the performance claim by the APC government can only be a product of delusions of grandeur, as the word on the street where the real Nigerians are, is completely at variance with the fabricated lies and imaginary performance indices contained in the report.
The PDP said the APC is oblivious of the pains and tears that their almost seven years of proven disappointment have inflicted on Nigerians, adding that it will be voted out of office in 2023.
