Former Nigerian President, Olusegun Obasanjo, on Tuesday, says he is not angry with the people of the Niger Delta region.
Obasanjo, in a letter addressed to Chief Edwin Clark, a copy of which was made available to newsmen in Abeokuta, said he had never hated the people of the region or people from any part of the country.
The former President, however, insisted that it was wrong and unconstitutional for Chief Clark or the people of the Niger Delta region to lay claim to crude oil or any mineral resources found in the area.
It would be recalled that during a peace and security meeting, convened by the Global Peace Foundation and Vision Africa, which was held recently in Abuja, Chief Clark had accused Obasanjo of hatred towards the people of the Niger Delta.
