President Buhari to direct Justice Abubakar investigate allegations of missing public funds.

President Muhammadu Buhari has been urged to direct the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice Mr. Abubakar Malami, to investigate allegations of over 3 billion naira missing public funds.
Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) gave the charge in a letter dated 24th December 2021, and signed by SERAP deputy director Kolawole Oluwadare.
SERAP said the allegations of the missing, mismanaged or diverted public funds from the Federal Ministry of Finance are documented in the 2018 and 2019 annual audited reports by the Auditor-General of the Federation.
Report says that the letter was also copied to the Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr Abdulrasheed Bawa; Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Mrs. Zainab Ahmed, among others.
