The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Tanko Muhammad, has warned against harassment and embarrassment of judicial officers in the country.
Muhammad gave the warning in Abuja, at a special session organised for the forthcoming 2021/2022 legal year of the Supreme Court.
Justice Muhammad, who appraised the performance of the judiciary in the just-concluded year, was very specific about the siege on the Abuja residence of Justice Mary Odili of the Supreme Court.
He said they were making efforts to ensure that search and arrest warrants must be issued with the knowledge and approval of the Chief Judge of the respective state or federal high court.
