Residents of Dokaje Street in Narayi Kaduna have lamented over their plight as they have been out of power supply for almost a year now.
In a chat with Invicta news correspondent, David Vincent Ejeh, the chairman of the Dokaje electricity committee, Mr. Judge Zakari narrated the unfortunate and sad situation they have been going through and how it is affecting them.
The back and forth on fixing the transformer at Dokaje has left the residents of that area in devastation as small scale and medium enterprise are running into lost as they rely heavily on electricity for their businesses.
More so, some angered residents demand for a refund of the money contributed to fix the transformer if power is not restored, others insist on power being restored and not interested in any refunds.
The turnout of event has made residents lose faith in the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) commonly known as NEPA and appropriate authorities that should be on the lookout for public services and welfare.
The residents of Dokaje street in Narayi Kaduna call for intervention the by government and appropriate authorities to react to this situation as a case of emergency as we approach the Christmas season.
