The Acting Governor of Kaduna State, Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarebe, has encouraged the youths to continually use positive and possible means to improve themselves.

She made this known during her address and declaration of the Youth Collaboration Summit 2021 with the theme; ‘Family Life, Entrepreneur and Governance at the Kaduna ICT Hub’ held at the weekend.

Dr Balarebe encouraged young people, despite scary data from the 2020 National Bureau of Statistics that youths from ages 16 to 24 have the highest unemployment rate at 40.8 per cent and those from 25 to 34 are about 30.7 per cent, to make use of this stage of their lives by making a mark that will outlive them.

The Deputy Governor commended the organizers for its focus on Family Life, Entrepreneurship and Governance, noting that the State Government is alive to all things youthful through its various programmes and policies.

In his remarks, the Coordinator of the initiative, Bodam Bagaiya thanked her Excellency for attending the event and said the platform will keep pushing for youths to achieve their potential.

The event had the three keynote speakers from the Deputy Chief of Staff (Admin) to the State Governor Saude Atoyebi, the Executive Secretary of KADIPA, Khalil Nur Khalil and the Convener of a mentorship Platform; the Winning Mindset, Elisha Mamman, as well as the syndicate and plenary sessions.
