Ebonyi State Government yet to ascertain impact of Cholera outbreak in parts of Ikwo Local Government Area.

The Ebonyi Government has said it is yet to ascertain the impact of the cholera outbreak that occurred in some communities in Ikwo Local Government Area of the state.
Director of Public Health in the state, Dr Hyacinth Ebenyi, said this in an interview with newsmen in Abakaliki.
Ebenyi said that the state government was aware of the outbreak but is yet to ascertain the number of affected persons as well as those that have died of the disease.
On the number of deaths, the Director said there were also reports that some people have died, noting that he would not be able to give the accurate figure.
It would be recalled that the Chairman Ikwo Local Government Area of the state, Mr Steven Orogwu, has debunked rumour on social media that about 65 persons have been affected by cholera in the area.
