Chairman Poultry Association of Nigeria, Kaduna (PANKAD), Alhaji Musa Bala has said that the association was encouraged by Federal Government policy of diversifying the economy in the area of agriculture by floating a poultry business PANKAD CO-OP worth 692 million Naira in the state.

Speaking shortly after an investors stakeholders meeting in Kaduna, he disclosed that the investment would create at least 35,000 jobs and also help in tackling food security in the country.

On her part, Chairperson of PANDKAD CO-OP, Hajiya Adama Umar who gave a background of business, encouraged women to join so as to get empowered and be liberated economically.

Head, Development Finance, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Muhammad Aminu who expressed satisfaction with the structure of the business plan, said CBN was ready and willing to avail its loan facilities to such kind of business ventures.

Other prospective investment stakeholders including representatives of FCMB, NAFDAC and poultry farmers were on hand for the drawing of an action plan and timeline for emerging poultry enterprise.
