Nigeria path to greatness hindered by Corruption – Markson Michael

Nigeria has what it takes to be a great nation in the comity of nations, but it is hundred by corruption in almost every sector.

This was the assertion of a Kaduna-based Author, Markson Michael, at the launch of a book titled; ‘the Verities of our narratives Civic and Civicisms: The Foundation of every State is the Education of its Youth’.

He lamented that despite the vast resources in the Country, nothing seems to be working due to lack of proper use.

The dwelt on the way forward for Nigeria.

Speaking earlier, the reviewer of the book, Dr Tosin Olagunju, said if not checked, corruption would continue to affect the reputation of Nigeria and Nigerians in the eyes of the world.

Dr Olagunju bemoaned the poor remuneration in the education sector, especially in the University system, where Professors earn below expectation, adding that majority of projects in tertiary Institution are executed by Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFUND, whose cause was championed by National University Commission, NUC.
