Charles Soludo wins Anambra Governorship Election.

Professor Charles Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has been declared winner of the Anambra governorship elections.

Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC’s Chief Returning Officer for the poll, Professor Florence Obi, announced this on Wednesday morning.

Professor Soludo aged 61 received 112,229 votes, twice more than his closest rival – People Democratic Party’s Mr. Valentine Ozigbo and also won 19 of the 21 local government areas of the state.

In his victory remark, he thanked the indigenes of the State for voting for him.

Report says that Ozigbo scored 53,807 votes, while the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Andy Uba, came third in the polls.
