Newly elected PDP National Chairman, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu, assures Nigerians of better prospects.

The newly elected National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Iyorchia Ayu has assured that the party was set to rescue Nigeria back from the current economic and security instability the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has led the country into.
Dr. Ayu stated this in a short remark shortly after he was returned elected as the Chairman of PDP through a consensus vote where he scored 3,426 votes.
In his speech at the convention, former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar who regretted that the APC has failed woefully but assured that the PDP will step in to arrest the downward spiral of the nation to save it from greater calamity.
The Chairman of the Convention Committee and the Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Fintiri, while declaring all the newly elected 21 members of the National Working Committee, said the party has been reorganised and reset to take back the leadership of Nigeria at all levels in 2023.
Others elected included: National Secretary, Samuel Njameka Anyawu, Deputy National Chairman, North, Ambassador Umar Damagun, while Ambassador Taofeeq Arabaja was elected Deputy National Chairman, South.
Also, Professor Stella Effah-Atoe was elected National Women Leader, Honourable Umar Bature, National Organizing Secretary, Okechikwu Obiechina Daniel, National Auditor, Mohammed Kadade Suleiman, 25 years as National Youth Leader, Kamaldeen Adeyemi Ajibade (SAN), Legal Adviser and Honourable Debo Olugbunaba as National Publicity Secretary respectively.
