The Federal Government says it cannot begin its plans to make deductions from the federation account for payment of consultants for the Paris Club Refund.

Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum and Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, disclosed this to newsmen on the sidelines of the 27th Nigerian Economic Summit in Abuja .

It would be recalled that the Federal Government had said that it would begin deduction from the federation account for payment of 418 million dollars’ private consultants who took part in the Paris Club Refund.

According to reports, doing this might affect the recurrent expenditure of at least 33 States and they may not be able to pay the salaries of their workers.
