Residents in Unguwan Biso in Sabo area of Chikun Local Government have appealed to the Kaduna State Ministry of Environment to provide a refuse dumpsite.

They made the appeal in an interview with Invicta FM News, said the Vehicles for the evacuation of the refuse comes into the area to collect refuse but later stopped coming due to a misunderstanding between them and some boys resident in the area.

They described as harrowing the stress in dealing with lack of having their refuse evacuated which is causing hazards to both human health and the environment in addition to the risk of paying a fine, if caught dumping the refuse.

Speaking in the same vein, another concerned resident, Mr. Godwin Danlamin, noted that they now have to wait till its dark for them to look for a place where they could empty their refuse while others have resorted to dumping theirs in the drainages, a situation he said is capable of leading to blockage and flooding.

He advocated for an approved special place for refuse dumping instead of dumping indiscriminately.
