A Consultant and Public Health Physician with Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital Dr. Oyefabi Adeboyega, has raised an alarm of a health crisis with the care free attitude to Covid 19 in Kaduna State.
He was speaking as a guest via telephone on Invicta’s Political Programme perspectives, decrying the stance of people over taking the vaccine.
Oyefabi who is also the Team Leader of Infectious Disease Control Center in Kaduna said those who have been vaccinated are a small fraction compared to high numbers of daily infections.
The Senior Lecturer of Kaduna State University, Dr. Oyefabi advised that masses should not let their guard down but protect themselves, by observe all protocols, get vaccinated and avoid rumors and hearsay especially on the side effects of the jab.
Respondents on the programmes listed lack of trust in the government, stigmatization from the community and the ambiguous uncertainties on the vaccination are reasons for people keeping away from being vaccinated.
The Medic therefore urged Citizens to take responsibilities to maintain good health so as to curb the spread of the deadly Covid-19.
